Douglas Snelling is a
visual artist, based in the Dumfries and Galloway Region.
As such he is surrounded by a rich source of subjects, ranging from wildlife, to the regions landscapes and seascapes. To develop his pastel techniques, Douglas used as unpaid and unprotesting models, his wife's teddy bears - they now form a subject in their own right.
Developed from collectors plates and using acrylic on 9-inch circular wooden boards, Douglas has produced unique sets of pictures with different themes, all of which are originals and cannot be repeated.
